Dems say no deal unless your tax dollars continue to fund abortions
WASHINGTON, DC – The Washington Post is reporting that talks between Speaker of the House, John Boehner (R-OH), Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid (D-NV) and President Obama have stalled due to the issue of federal taxpayer dollars for Planned Parenthood.
“Congressional negotiators working through the night on a budget deal largely agreed to an amount of spending cuts, but their talks were stymied by two Republican policy provisions on abortion and the environment, increasing the likelihood of a government shutdown beginning this weekend, Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) said Thursday morning,” reports the Washington Post.
Reid also said, “It’s not realistic to [delay this funding debate by] dealing with abortion. It’s not fair to the American people.”
Basically Reid has made the decision to either continue to spend your tax dollars to support abortion, or to shut down the government.
The Democratic Caucus made up of Senators and members of the U.S. House decided over a week ago to shutdown the government in order to seek political gain by blaming Speaker of the House, Boehner and the Tea Party. Now, they refuse to budge on your hard-earned tax dollars being used to pay for abortions.
It’s time to let your voice be heard again call your Member of Congress and let them know how you feel: HERE
The Obama administration has said time and again that no federal tax dollars are being used to fund abortion. This is simply a lie. Refusal to remove Planned Parenthood funding proves that lie.
Right now, Planned Parenthood is busing in activists from across the country for a massive rally and lobbying day in Washington.
Call your Member of Congress. E-mail like-minded family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers and ask them to stand for Life by calling their Member of Congress as well.
Make your voice heard.

Judge who declared Obamacare unconstitutional sends message to White House with second ruling
By Amanda Carey – The Daily Caller 2:18 PM 03/03/2011
Roger Vinson, the U.S. federal judge who ruled Obamacare unconstitutional in its entirety, has ruled again on the health-care law. On Thursday, Judge Vinson issued a stay on his earlier ruling that the law could not be enforced. In doing so, he sent a clear message to the Obama administration: Appeal my decision to a higher court or stop implementing the law.
When Judge Vinson ruled on Jan. 31 that the health-care law was unconstitutional, the administration followed up by filing a motion for clarification rather than filing an official appeal. Vinson’s ruling criticized the administration for that action.
“During the four-plus weeks since entry of my order, the defendants have seemingly continued to move forward and implement the act,” Vinson wrote. “While I believe that my order was as clear and unambiguous as it could be, it is possible that the defendants may have perhaps been confused or misunderstood its import.”
Now, Vinson has given the Obama administration an ultimatum to either stop implementing the law, or appeal it - presumably to the Supreme Court. It is unclear what will happen if the administration ignores that order.
Following Vinson’s initial ruling, Florida and Alaska stopped implementing the law. Several other states have lawsuits pending challenging its constitutionality.

Last month, The Washington Post headlined the poll it conducts with ABC News: “
Public Is Not Yet Sold on GOP.” While the Republicans scored big in the November elections, The Post said that the survey showed, “they have yet to win the hearts and minds of the American people.”
But there’s a more positive note for Republicans, as far as public opinion goes, in a Gallup poll conducted Jan. 14-16 which found that, for the first time since 2005, more Americans had a favorable view of the GOP than an unfavorable one.
Forty-seven percent of those surveyed now see the Republicans favorably compared to 43 percent who do not. That compares to late 2008 when 61 percent saw the party unfavorably compared to 34 percent who had a positive view.
Republicans had been in positive figures for most of the early 2000s before the public view of the Bush administration turned negative starting in 2005 when the Iraq war was going badly and President Bush took a hit for his administration’s handling of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The downhill slide continued, enabling the Democrats to win big victories in the 2006 and 2008 elections.
The public is split when it comes to its view of the Democrats. Forty-seven percent see them unfavorably compared to 46 percent who have a positive view. The Democrats had a favorable rating in the mid-to-high 50s between 2004 and late 2009, but last year, that changed when 54 percent saw the party unfavorably and 41 percent saw it favorably — numbers that were reflected in the results of the midterm elections.
Gallup thinks the fact that the two parties’ ratings are generally similar will be an impetus to them to work better together, something other polls have said is what the public wants.
